Re-engineering CMMS for scale.
How we transformed a disconnected maintenance, resource, and asset management system into a scalable cloud platform.

From on-premise systemsto scalable cloud architecture.
Prior to the transformation, SVISION operated a solid on-premise CMMS solution used across multiple facilities. While functional, the system was deployed in isolated environments, limiting scalability and centralized visibility.
Maintenance teams relied on a combination of the existing platform, spreadsheets, and manual workflows to manage operations. A mobile application was already in place, but capabilities were limited and not fully synchronized across systems.
As operations expanded, the architecture began to show its constraints. Data remained fragmented between environments, making it difficult to consolidate insights, track global performance, and manage resources efficiently at scale.
Rather than replacing the existing system, the opportunity was to reimagine it, evolving from a localized on-premise solution into a cloud-native platform designed for centralized control, real-time synchronization, and long-term scalability.
Distributed Data Environments
Data was stored across independent installations, making it difficult to consolidate insights and monitor performance across facilities.
Hybrid Workflows
Teams combined the existing platform with spreadsheets and manual processes, creating friction in execution and slowing down operations as scale increased.
Engineering a system that scales with operations.
Cloud-native CMMS architecture
Migrated isolated local installations into a scalable, multi-tenant cloud environment with real-time synchronization.
Maintenance workflow orchestration
Replaced paper-based approvals with dynamic, rules-based routing designed specifically for industrial maintenance.
Unified asset and resource data model
Unified disconnected inventory and asset data under a single, coherent relational model.
Real-time maintenance data processing
Engineered a robust backend capable of concurrently processing high-volume maintenance logs and telemetry.
A multi-layer system designed for real operations.
SVISION is not a solitary product, but a comprehensive CMMS platform spanning commercial, operational, and architectural layers.
Commercial & Brand Layer
This layer defines how the product is presented, sold, and accessed.
- Rebranding
- Marketing website
- Commercial positioning
- Back office for managing leads and clients
CMMS Operational Core
This is the core engine where industrial operations are executed and managed.
- Asset and maintenance tracking
- Resource and inventory management
- Maintenance workflows and approvals
- Maintenance analytics and cost tracking
Inventory & Resource Management
This layer connects inventory and resources directly to maintenance execution, ensuring every task is planned, supplied, and controlled.
- Resource tracking across locations
- Resources linked to maintenance tasks
- Allocation to technicians and work orders
- Asset-level cost and usage visibility
Platform & Licensing Layer
This layer enables scalability, governance, and control of the platform.
- Licensing and subscription control
- User roles and access permissions
- Multi-client environment management
How the system operates.
Track maintenance across multiple facilities in real time.
The core CMMS platform processes incoming facility data to provide an immediate view of systemic health. We structured the UI to prioritize critical maintenance pillars: asset health, inventory depletion, cost analysis, and predictive analytics.
- Monitor asset health and cost per machine
- Manage resource inventory across warehouses
- Track global maintenance compliance

Execute maintenance workflows on the factory floor.
Workflows needed to translate flawlessly from the back office to the factory floor. We engineered an operational mobile interface that allows maintenance teams to execute work orders directly at the machine level. Every action on the floor is directly connected to inventory, assets, and system-level data.
- Paperless work order execution
- Direct resource consumption logging
- Real-time synchronization with cloud inventory
The Platform Governance Layer.
Transforming a single-tenant legacy system into a multi-tenant SaaS required a complete governance architecture. We built a robust back-office system to control deployment parameters and operational limits across client organizations.
Access Control
Hierarchical permissions scaling from floor technicians to global administrators.
Centralized Licensing
Automated CMMS provisioning and billing synchronization for multi-facility clients.
User Management
Structured team provisioning integrating seamlessly with enterprise single sign-on.
System Telemetry
Internal diagnostic tools enabling SVISION to monitor client environment performance.
This is how systems are engineered to scale.
